This is extremely substandard accommodation, pest infested, full of spiders and ants. I only stayed there depressing 6 weeks, did not sleep much due to spiders. I managed to find alternative accommodation luckily. However, Curzon point management are demanding rent payments from me as per contract however, the rooms are inhabitable and many are empty. The management did not supply suitable, clean room as per contract. The atmosphere is dark, miserable and dirty buildings, corridor and rooms have silver fish everywhere. It is a dirty filthy accommodation that you should avoid. Do not believe their website, it is deceiving the students. Keep away from Curzon point Hatfield accommodation, you will regret moving in there. Curzon point Hatfield is Not reccommended. ... Read more
from a 1st year student point of view I deeply regret spending my first year here, the money that I paid does not match what I got, the accommodation managers were not present for most of the year, if something is broken you have to wait after 2 months to get it fixed they do all they can to scam you and get your money like if you drop litter that's an 80 pound fine if you do not pay your rent on time you are in rent arrears, it's not worth the stress ... I was really looking forward to living at Curzon Point Hatfield. The advert on the website seemed so appealing. Unfortunately, my experience here has been awful. The flats are very small, your room even smaller. There are 2 washing machines shared amongst over 100 students. One vacuum cleaner shared amongst over 100 students. You are expected to provide your own bins for your room. There is absolutely no soundproofing, so do not expect to get any work done without being interrupted. On the website, it is advertised as being 10 minutes away from the De Havilland campus... it really isn’t, it’s more like 20 minutes (depending on how fast you walk) and it takes even longer by bus, as there are no direct buses to the De Havilland campus. I wish I had known how awful it was living here, so I would not have made the mistake of signing the contract and wasting my money. This year living at Curzon Point has been an absolute nightmare. I have been counting down the days till I move out since I moved in. So far, I have counted 6 adverts on SpareRoom created by people trying to move out of their rooms here at Curzon Point Hatfield. It really is that bad. Unfortunately, you cannot move out of your room until you find someone to replace you in the tenancy agreement. If you do not find someone, you will remain liable for the rent, even if you move out. Finding a new tenant is incredibly hard, seeing as the rooms are so expensive. So unless you want to be stuck in this horrible place for a whole year, you should avoid coming here at all cost. Even if you are desperate, I can assure you, there are much better and cheaper places than Curzon Pont Hatfield. If you have lived or are currently living at Curzon point Hatfield, please share your experience, so people actually know what they are getting into before signing that dreadful 12 month contract. 1 whole year of my life spent miserable in this awful place. ... OMG the rooms are so horrible, I used to live in flats on campus and they are so much nicer and spacier, for the exact same amount of money I got a bed twice the size of my current bed and brand new room, this room feels like it survived through war times. Bed is super uncomfortable and its so tiny, there is absolutely no sound proofing between rooms and kitchen, I can hear everytime anyone does anything in the kitchen, even if they whisper, I thought this would be at least close to the standards of University accommodation but it really isn't worth your time. It's close to asda which is good and town centre ... Read more
