I would never recommended this place to my worst enemy, the place is full of rats, the response rate is very poor, not a social place to live, they have 5 security staff so its like a prison, I wanted to change my room but they do not allow you to do so, the parcels go missing and my keys did not work and they keep on saying I will receive a new one but the reception is never open. If you are looking to book a place I advise you stay away from here you will not only be depressed you will not have the university life that you are looking for. If its a prison cell you want then go for it. ... Read more
Copied from the email I sent directly to unite which they proceeded to completely ignore and just send me an automated message, they do not care about students at all. The halls are Rat infested post constantly goes missing from reception which is never open and there are constant power cuts and water problems. Unite is an awful company and I strongly advise you to stay elsewhere I would like to formally complain about the cruel and unfair treatment towards us university students paying to live in your accommodation during in this uncertain time. Coronavirus has been an incredibly hard time for everyone, mentally and financially however you have continued to charge us obscene amounts of money for substandard accommodation with absolutely no remorse. How are you comfortable lining your pockets with the money of students and their families already struggling to survive in an economic climate where it is almost impossible to get a job? Your business is supposed to create a home for students not to take advantage of them for your own financial gain. All other businesses are struggling and have taken a hit due to the huge economic impact of Coronavirus however you have made the conscious decision to continue charging us full rent for accommodation we are unable to live in while milking struggling students for every penny they can possibly give you. As you are well aware pursuing a university education requires large amounts of money and i know I am not the only one who’s family has to work very hard in order to afford to send me to uni, my student loan doesn’t even cover the expense of rent to live in your accommodation let alone food and all the other expenses of life as a uni student. Coronavirus has left my parents as thousands of others unable to work and left them to struggle on government grants. Other accommodation providers have offered students partial refunds and rent reductions to stand in solidarity with their tenants during these hard times and I expect you to follow suit through the realisation that continuing to charge us full rent for accommodation we are unable to live in is just cruel, wrong and selfish. However if the moral obligation is not enough which clearly since so far you haven’t shown an ounce of support for your tenants I doubt it will be so hopefully the petitions and bad reputation you are gaining makes you rethink how you are treating us. ... Fab location but the beetle infestation in our flat that wasn't sorted out at all, all year, is probs not what I was imagining. £135 is massively expensive for a small flat with no tv and a 3/4 bed. NOT EVEN A SINGLE. Would have been way more liveable if We weren't finding beetles everywhere. Lift never works either . Load absolute shite. AVOID. did also meet boyfriend here aka love of lil life aka king of fab xxx ... Read more
I enjoyed staying here, it was simple and easy to deal with, hardly never an issue (if you don't count room-mates) But if you are paying for this place, bare in mind their are other places a lot cheaper with close to the same features. Nothing stands out as an added bonus for the extra you pay. Only go for the this accommodation if their aren't others to go for. But bare in mind, 5 people living in a flat is really nice because theirs less room for annoyance. ... Read more
