Exeter Student life
If you're looking for a fun and vibrant city to explore, Exeter is the perfect destination! With a large student population, the city has a diverse and lively atmosphere that's sure to put a smile on your face.
You'll have access to fantastic live music, exciting festivals, and miles of stunning beaches just a stone's throw away.
So why not come and experience the buzz for yourself?
Exeter is a fantastic city. It is big enough to offer plenty of things to do, yet not too crowded, making it easy to get around. If you are a fan of Harry Potter, you will be delighted to know that you can visit all the places that inspired J.K. Rowling's books, such as Mardon Hall, which served as the inspiration for Gryffindor Common Room, and Gandy Street, which inspired Diagon Alley.
Exeter is famous for several things. The first one is its beautiful coastline, where you can indulge in eating ice cream on sandy beaches within less than 20 minutes.
The second attraction is Exeter Quay, which offers various aquatic activities such as kayaking and canoeing, a climbing centre, and a number of pubs and shops. Lastly, Dartmoor National Park is just half an hour from Exeter, where you can take a hike through one of the UK's favourite national parks, home to the iconic Dartmoor Ponies.
What students have to say about Exeter's nightlife.
The first student says that Exeter's nightlife might not be as lively as in other big cities, but that is not an issue for them. They enjoy going out and bumping into people they know.
The best night out for them is Timepiece on Wednesdays, but they also love Cheesy Tuesdays at Unit 1.
The second student, a third-year student at the University of Exeter, mentions that although Exeter doesn't have as many nightclubs as big cities, the nights out are just as good.
The main clubs are conveniently situated on the main high street, close to university halls and private houses. They also mention that the nights out always make for a good story!
